New zoysia seedlings; Lots of weeds….Mow?

I have a four week old Compadre Zoysia lawn from seed in Raleigh, NC.The seedlings have grown to about 1/2 inch with decent coverage. However, a large, wide-leafed weed is quickly taking over the lawn. This weed is 2-3 inches tall. Recommendations I’ve read suggest cutting the new zoysia once it has reached 2 inches. Should I go ahead and cut due to the large coverage of this weed even though the zoysia is only 4 weeks old and ~1/2in?
Thanks for any help/guidance.

Go ahead and mow at 1 1/2 with a rotary mower, and do it 3 or 4 times over the next couple of weeks. After 2 weeks, apply a ‘weed and feed’ type product, which will kill the broadleaf, and stimulate the Zoysia.
