I live in SC and we had new centipede sod put down approx. 4 months ago. We watered it somewhat frequently. The grass has just done horribly! We have had no need to even mow the grass yet…it won’t grow. There is alot of thatch build up that my husband has started raking out. We plan to seed over it because there are bare spots all over. I have pictures but I don’t see any place to download them. I would love for someone to see the pics if they think they are able to help. THanks

OK, I live in Murrells Inlet. I put down sod in June. It stress a little for a couple of weeks. Just what did you do when you put the sod down? Did you over fertilize it? Did you water it about 3 times/day? New Sod needs to be soaked and soaked and soaked. Run you springlers for two hours to really soak the sod. Raise a patch and see if it is wet. If not, soak it some more. Most think just a 15 minute watering will do it job—Wrong. I have a well to run my sprinklers. What do you have? Let me know some of the details. Roy
