Has anyone successfully started a new bermuda lawn in central alabama [or similar climate area] in september?

One year I started a bermuda lawn on the first day of fall, but that was in Southern Cal. (which has very warm weather up to the end of Oct.) The lawn fully established before the cold nights halted the growth. For your climate- I would not try it much past the first week of Sept.
