I live near charlotte, nc. I am giving up the fight on fescue. I have Plantation Fescue in the front yard. Like most people here, it looks great in the spring and fall. And looks terrible in the summer. Also, i have some wild bermuda mixing in the front. I am gonna till up the front yard in the spring and plant some triangle blend bermuda. Anyone familiar with this product? I studied up on it on grassland.com and it seems to be a good choice? thoughts? suggestions?

Check it out. It’s more cold tolerant bermuda.

next question, will a rotary mower do the job? i am gonna get a new mower next year. I am riding on a Sabre lawn tractor right now with a stripping roller on the back.

depends.
Bermuda lawns tend to look better with reel mowers at 1 inch or less. I tried 1 inch on my rotary mower and I scalped my yard everywhere. Your yard has to be super smooth level to be able to cut low which is hard to do on mine.
