Brown Patches taking over!!

I have floritam grass….It was once lucious and thick…and green like carpet now we have brown patches (dead) that seem to be spreading…any suggestions on how to green my grass up again?

grassknome, first we have to find out what is causing the brown patches. First clue is the shape:

Next, are there any “signs” of the illness (actual insects, fungal threads, etc.)
Any other history? Fertilization? Chemical sprays?
