Bermuda Tifway II in Houston

I’m looking for an alternative to St. Augustine in our new house. Is Bermuda Tifway II a viable option? Does it require more watering(once established) than St. Augustine? Any other options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Zoysia would need less water than any of the Tif grasses. Check your local sod farm(s) for a recommendation on what would be best for the homeowner in your area. Tif does not need a lot of water either, but St Augustine and Zoysia are just amazing grasses when it comes to the amount of time they can go without water!
