Replace common bermuda with hybrid bermuda

I moved into a new home with a fully sodded bermuda lawn last year. The front looks to be common bermuda and the back and side lawn is hybrid. I’m assuming this since the front is light green and seedheads pop up a day or two after mowing. The back is thicker dark green grass with no seedheads ever. I water deeply twice a week and mow once a week. Is there any way to reduce the seedheads in the common bermuda? … or What would be the best way to replace the common bermuda with more hybrid bermuda? Thanks

You can rent a sod cutter and remove the common areas- and then sod hybrid……or you can spray ‘Round up’ on the common and plug hybrid into the area, (which will take a while to fill in). You can use plugs from your exsisting hybrid. Find a spot where its not going to be too noticable (like on the edge of the lawn) and dig out plugs to be transplanted. Fill the holes with soil, and they will grow back in no time!
