Nice forum! Most of our lawn is crabgrass. We live in central west florida, very close to the gulf. We cannot afford to resod the whole lawn, but would like to reseed. Is it recommended to remove all the crap grass or just some of it prior to laying down some good soil and seed? Any advice on the fastest and most attractive Bermuda varieties? We prefer a dark lawn. Thank you for any tips!

I have read that “Princess 77” is a cultivar of Bermudagrass that you may want to look at.

It is inexpensive in terms of cost. When established, it can either be mowed at a low height for a very green look, or kept a little higher resulting in a full, dense look.
