Make sure you are watering enough to wet the sod root zone, and then another inch below that. Lift up a piece on one of the brown spots and see if its getting soaked. Usually the dried spots will come back, but if this were to happen in summer, you may have had complete kill!

........also, as the turf matures, you will of course have to water deeper than 1 inch.

Now most of my sod (grass) is green but i have this one area that did not do its thing so its dead and it seems to be spreading is that possible? I have four peices that the corners that are next to each other are dead but the other half of the pieces are fine. it seems that most of the grass roots took and went down but I just have this one spot that is dead. any suggestions? I also have oval shaped dead spots in some areas as well. Please help. I watered since the fist week a lot where most of the ground was really soft for the most part.
