I live in South Texas where is hot and consistently humid. We also live on a barrier island, pretty consistent salty breeze. The winters are very mild on the island, next to never freezes. We are planning on sodding the backyard in the spring. I have done some research and it seems that the better grasses for our climate is Zoysia and St. Augustine. The island is also notorious for sticker burrs. Based on the above information what would be some recommendations on which grass, Zoysia or St. Augustine, and what specific species (?) of grass. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. South Texas

I forgot to mention, we have two young kiddos. A grass that only tolerates drought, heat, humidity, but also wear is essential. Thanks again,South Texas
