Ok I cut several yards but this one has had a strip almost an arc for at least a year that is dead. Today when I looked at it, there were patches of what appeared to be grass which had totally been consumed by some sort of fungus. It was a brown color and looked like it had eaten the blades stems and all. Does any one know what this is?

Type of grass? Pictures?

To ID a disease or something like it it would take a lot more information.

Might be a Slime Mold which is harmless and will
disappear by itself. BUT, a picture would sure be
useful in diagnosis.
