hi guys, new to the forums and i need help! so i moved to this house in june, and there was no sign of this little guy, or should i say big guy... the grass was pretty consistent throughout except for some zoysia that was creeping. but thats besides the point.. i live in north eastern pa. and i have no idea what this light colored grass is.. it has a broader leave, no buds or seed sprouting, but it grows like 10 times as fast as my other grass. can anyone help me identify this probelem IP: Logged |

You might have Yellow Nutsedge in your lawn. Image/Manage may control it but you're in for a multi-year program of lawn weed control. IP: Logged |

To be sure it is Nutsedge: Pull a whole plant out of the ground. Peel back the outer leaves. Feel the plant stalk. If it is triangular it is nutsedge. Dismiss, MSMA, image, Sedgehammer all work. Check the label before you spray to make sure your type turf can tolerate the herbicide chosen. IP: Logged |
