I live in Texas, What Sod should i lay that will survive the summers here? Also if i go with St. Augustine will it require watering more than 3-days a week?? Soil type- Black clay I’d prefer something that runs.

Zoysia would be a good choice, it runs (albeit slower than other grasses), and sinks deep roots.
