We bought our property 2 years ago and the pasture has never been looked after. We introduced Longhorns in January and I used 2,4-D and Grazon to reduce the weeds dramatically and then fertilized at about 400lbs per acre based on soil analysis from Texas A&M. I now have a grassbur/sandbur problem.
I’ve been told the only way is to choke it out through a good coastal/bermuda cover. Someone else recommended Atrozine (sp?).
Has anyone had any success killing grassbur and sandbur.
