I seeded my new yard in the spring and it took pretty well. However, my back yard is quickly becoming full of crabgrass. Is there anything I can do this summer or in early fall to start getting rid of this nuisance? I will be applying crabgrass preventor this next spring, but anything I can do now or in the fall to get a start on this? I will also be overseeding this fall. What is the best way to do this to help fill in the bare spots? One last thing, what is MSMA? Thanks! Nelly

Check the label for MSMA – if you have centipede or St. A., forget it. In fact 419 is only mildly tolerant, particularly if it is more than 85 degrees.
