I am developing dead spots in my lawn. I had treated for chinch in early spring and weed and feed twice over the summer. I have also applied lime to lower the Ph (on recommendation to help slow weed growth) I have heard the the bugs are eating my grass which allows the weeds room to grow!! How do I kill the bugs and weeds before winter to allow some growth? Is it to late? what products should I use?

lime raises ph, not lowers it. where do you live? you could be having brown patch fungus
