Hardrock, years ago when I didn’t know better I ruined a reel by trying to sharpen it with a file. The more I ground the blades, the more uneven they got. The right way to do this is by “backlapping” which involves evenly rotating the whole reel on a sharpening plate, frequently painting the blades with a grinding grit. A motor is used to rotate the reel.
I am no mechanic, but I wanted to tell you that this is something that you might want to contract out. The bedknife is something else. You definitely want to farm this out to someone. Phil

Thanks seed. You saved me the trouble of screwing up the blade.I’ll look into having someone knowledgable in The art of sharpening look at it.Thanks again.

If you know of someone who works at a golf course, they can do it for you.

Do these sharpening kits work on any reel mower or just some brands?
