I water the patch and claw (with my fingers) to bring as many of the surrounding runners into a pile. Water again, then dust a SMALL AMOUNT of Weasel Crabgrass Killer (grass will INSTANTLY turn yellow). Then message the whole patch so every blade is yellow. In a week it and it's roots are DEAD.
