I’ve managed to kill my St. Augustine grass. I have a bag of Bermuda seed that I naively bought and scattered before I bought the St. Augustine sod, so I have nice healthy patches of Bermuda in my dying St. Augustine.

I don’t think the Bermuda is the problem since it’s concentrated away from the worst parts of the St. Augustine.

My question is would it be advisable to just bite the bullet and seed the rest of my yard with the bermuda? it’s my backyard where my dog roams freely, and I’m not as concerned with how it looks as I am with the front. I’ve managed to keep the front St. Augustine in pretty good shape.

If I had a problem keeping St. Augustine alive (drainage problem??), would I have the same problem with Bermuda?

By the way, the bermuda seed I have is Sahara if that makes any difference to your opinion.
