Can anyone recommend a liquid copper fungicide to apply via pump up sprayer as an adjunct to granular fungicide applications? The turf is centipede.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated!

We must know the disease. Are you looking for preventative or curative?

I’m treating an extrememly resistant brown patch. I’ve been using a granular (Scott’) fungicide but it has also been recommended to apply copper sulfate as well. Initially that seemed relatively straight forward until I started looking for a product.

John, What is the active ingredient in the Scotts product you are using? What is the % of active ingredient in the mixture? Knowing these mat help to see if there is something else out there to use that may be better. It seems like you have resistance to that product. What is the pH of the soil? If it is off that will affect the turfs brown patch resistance. We use ProStar 70 on the course(best stuff around) but I don’t think its available to the homeowners. I’m still looking for a good golf course grade product for you to use. For now watch your fertilizer and your watering. Take it easy on both until you have the brown patch under control.

Im still looking……………

no granular product is going to work. however, you might try pcnb. the definitive product for brown patch is called Prostar- you can’t buy it as a homeowner. it, like all fungicides, works best as a preventative- once you see the brown circles it’s too late.
