I live in Orlando, FL and around 6 months ago, I added St.Augustine, new irrigation and Middleton Pest control does fertilization quarterly. And it looks awesome! Recently my neighbors’ Oak tree dumped 1000’s of acorns onto my beautiful yard. I filled an entire garbage can with little 1-2″ saplings (is that right?). And now they are coming back again and can see there lots of acorns still buried down in the grass! Is there any solution or suggestion that any of you gurus might have? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I would imagine that a creative solution could be implemented with the help of a Shop-Vac…. but I am no gardener…

I use my lawn mower every week and mow them off. I have 5 very old oak trees in my 2,000 square foot front yard so I have more acorns than I can keep up with. I just mow them.

I have the same problem on the golf course. Its such a pain and it looks like crap. Last summer I asked one of my professors what was the best chemical or control for this and he said there isnt one.
