I live in Houston, Tx and have St. Augustine grass. In my back yard I have a fungus growing.

It is in big chunks and is kinda hard like the expanding foam insulation in a can.

This part of my yard usually stays fairly wet.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks,Mark

yeah, i know what you’re talking about. just use a general purpose fungicide for the lawn areas and take measures to ensure proper drainage. if you have a sprinkler turn it off for this time of year in general.

If you wipe the back of a shovel against it, it usually falls apart and goes away.

It is known as dog barf fungus.

Dchall San Antonio,

I’m trying to track you down, so I’m hoping you’ll reply….

I live in Austin, and have been looking for Corn Meal, Corn glutton, etc. unsuccessfully. I’m in San Antonio often, and was wondering where you purchase your corn product? What do you recommend, Corn meal, or Corn Glutton, or something else? Any specific brand? Also, I am getting ready to fertilizer for winter, and was wondering if I could spread these together, or at least a few days apart? Your help is greatly appreciated
