Help Before I pull out my hair!!! Sand Burs

We have sand Burrs, somewhat bad here, they grown in my walkways,driveways, in my yard, and are not taking over my Veggie Garden. Is their anything I can do about this problem that seems to be taking over everything we have and not kill out are flowers or are veggie garden? The more I pull, the faster then come back HELP before I pull out my hair !!!

You need to use lime. Just use a regular spreeder.I had sand burs for several years,this took care of them.

Wildflowers, I have gotten rid of sandburs by digging them up and placing the whole plant, seeds especially, in a plastic garbage bag. That stopped them from reinvading.

It took about a year.

I’m in North Texas, are Sand Burrs the same as Goat heads? If so, I’m infested too. How much lime do you put per acre? How long does it take to see results? clbyers@texoma.net

How long does it take to get rid of the sand burs using lime. I have them every where this year and I have a daughter who is celebrating her 2nd b-day in 4 weeks. Will it work by then? How much do you have to use per sq. ft? teasha_tbs@hargray.com

What does the oime do to the yard grasses? bermuda and St. Augustine. The only thing I have found is to dig them and hope you get all the seeds or stickers.
