I've been told that we have existing centipede but also some other grasses mixed in. Location is 480' from the beach. It has survived for 20+ years, but we've decided to isolate the grass to a small area where there isn't much sod. Landscaper is recommending new Bermuda sod, but centipede seems like a better choice given that we want to minimize water and mowing requirements. Am I right? Should I consider seashore paspalum? Can existing sod be transplanted ok? Any recommendation for killing off everything but the centipede if we move existing? Is there a recommended variety of centipede if we sod or seed?
