I have resolved a water shortage problem on one side of my St Augustine yard. I have used Roundup to kill weeds but did not get a complete kill of Bahia where there was not a lot of sun.

I have tilled the area to be sodded. Should I remove the runners of the Bahia that were tilled under or will they die from the tilling?

I wanted to get the sod in before it gets too hot but I am just not sure if I can get through the loose soil with a cultivator fast enough.

Any ideas on labor saving?

Rake up as much Bahia as you can on the top 2 inches. Whats left further down is less likely to survive.
