i live in wilmington, nc. the temperatures are still in the high 40's at night (it's the end of march) and high 60's during the day. is it okay to lay the st. augustine now, or should i wait until it is warmer? IP: Logged |

St. Augustine can be put down anytime. You're still going to have to water it on a regular basis. Three times a week for about an hour or deeply to get the ground underneath the sod wet. This help the grass get rooted but green up will not happen until the night temps get to above 50 at night for three (3)times in a row. After greenup give it a little 13-0-44 fertilize. IP: Logged |
