Does anybody have a recommended fertilizer for St. Augustine growing in the alkaline north Texas clay soil? I had a lot of luck in past years using a 27-3-4 fertilizer with 8% Sulphur, but now nobody is carrying it. I can find 27-3-3 with 4% Sulphur, or 27-3-13 with 8% Sulphur. I’m guesing I need to stick with the highest amount of Sulphur I can find, but what about the potash figure? Is there any noticeable affect for the potash in alkaline clay soil?

have you soil tested it? it takes alot of sulfur to lower the ph in a typical texas lawn.
