Somehow Bermuda grass has started to grow over my St. Augustine , I need to know if the Bermuda will overtake my St. Augustine and how can I kill off the Bermuda grass without killing off my St. Augustine grass?

let your St. Augustine grass grow close to 2-3 inches high and don’t cut it below that and you will never see the Bermuda again. Cut it 2 inches or below and the Bermuda will start showing up again. Cut it to 1 inch and Bermuda will overtake your St. Augustine. The Bermuda ain’t going nowhere. You just got to crowd it out with longer St. Augustine. Cutting it short allows the Bermuda some sunshine and spaces to start growing.
I have experienced this personally.

Cut the your lawn to about 1″ and let the Bermuda take over. Bermuda grass is VERY hard to kill – even if you mow you grass high. In my opinion, Bermuda grass looks a lot better than St. Augustine grass, so I will let the Bermuda take over if I were you.
