I have a large bermuda lawn that is greening up right now. The problem I have is the many patches of fescue embedded in my lawn. It forces me to mow my lawn more often than I should have too because the fescue grows so fast. My wife and I spent a good 4 hours pulling the fescue from our backyard (roots and all). It is a pain in the you know what. Any suggestions for getting rid of it in a more efficient manner?? I just bought the house back in November and the lady that lived there did not care for doing any yardwork, so I am picking up the pieces. (Good thing I like doing yardwork!!) I live in Gwinnett County, Georgia (NE of Atlanta)

I have heard of people having luck with using grass killer. From what I understand if a grass is going to survive a weed & grass killer it is Bermuda. I suppose as long as you localized it’s use it might work and the bermuda should choke it out eventually.
