My yard is incredibly un-level. I am at the bottom of a slight hill so all the water on my street drains into my yard – especially into the lower spots. What is the best way to level this? A landscaper recommended about 8-10 cubic yards of dirt. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Build terraces. Just divide the yard into 3-4 terraces and level each one.
