I know zoysia is a groundcover but I need a true groundcover. I live in Virginia and I have a large hill that I can’t mow. It faces east and gets a reasonable amount of summertime sun. Anything and everything grows on that hill…weeds, junk trees, briars etc. I got it “under control” with cutting and Roundup. I would like to plant something that will choke everything else out and quickly as once the chance for Roundup is over it will be hard to control extraneous growth. I don’t really care about texture, color etc. I just want to choke out the jungle once and for all and not spend a fortune doing it.. Will zoysia work for this application? If so, which variey would be best? Any other options?

no. zoysia is a turfgrass. it need regular maintenance just like any other grass. it’s just a little different…
