I am thinking about laying 23 pallots of St. Augustine in a couple weeks and I want to know if it is too late in the season to do so. I live in Orlando, FL. The people I am buying it from won’t tell me if it is since I am sure they just want to make the money. SHould I wait until the spring or am I okay to go ahead with it?

Not too late.We plant our sod farm year round,and we are just outside the Mouses House.It should be ok,but remember Nov. is our driest time of year.

Yes, I know that. That is why I am questioning it. We have been trying to get sod for over a month now, but due to all the hurricanes the sod has been under water. Do you sell sod? What condition is yours in now? The lady we are trying to purchase from says hers is not ready. We don’t want to purchase 23 pallots of mud. So are you suggesting that we keep it watered more than normal during Nov?

Most Orlando area farms are back in limited production now after all the weather problems we had.Catching up with orders has slowed delivery down.Most quality I have seen has been fair to good.It will be several weeks before very good product is available.By then cool weather will have it somwhat dormant.Price is up some.Hope you booked already.I have no problem suggesting people lay this time of year here in Fla.Not much growth will happen until spring.
