Can anyone give me any tips on bahia and ways to maintain it?

I found that the best thing for my Bahaia lawn was to get a soil sample and send it off to the extension agency. I have about 10K sq. ft, and randomly dug up some of the soil that the stolons of the grass reside in, mixed them up, and put it in the bag. $4 and a couple of weeks later, I knew exactly what my soil needed, and the Extension Agent gave me a prescription of what to do.
For what it’s worth, this is what I did. Keep in mind, I live in Middle Georgia, and your soil content/type may be quite different. I aereated the soil, waited 3 days, broadcast 10 lbs of lime per 1K feet (100 lbs) to raise the pH, make it sweet.I broadcast 13lbs of 10-10-10 per 1K feet. Man, I have to say, I was almost sorry I fertilized the Bahaia, because I wound up cutting it twice a week!! But it sure looked good. My neighbor who has Bermuda was envious…or so she said.
