Just a quick question for you experts out there. We just bought a new house and they put down centipede sod. Its pretty green through out. The only problem is that we have what we call WATER GRASS everywhere in the backyard this stuff grows crazy I cut the grass just to cut the water grass cause the stuff in the back is not growing like the front. I used Scotts weed and feed on it about a month ago. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated how to get this stuff growing healthy. One more question I have a dog and Dog spots in the back yard. other than getting her to go in one spot anything to get rid of the brown circles. Thanks for your time guys.

p.s one more thing when would be a good time to go through and thatch all the dead grass from the yard. there is alot of it. I think they did a crappy job laying the sod

Can you provide some more information for us?

Things like where you live, what lawn maintence program you’ve been following, what you’ve tried so far, and maybe a digital picture of your problem area?

I live in lower Alabama (dont blame me on that one) Im user I can get a pic. The only thing that i have down to the yard was about a month or 2 ago applied scotts weed and feed, and I alwo applied spectracide bug killer for all kinds of yard bugs. The problem that Im having is that the back yard looks like crap and is over run with water grass and the front doesnt look that bad but its 3 diffrent shades of green from the watergrass the centipede and who knows what else. I dont appear to have any “weeds” (dandelions etc.) growing
