I laid tif 419 in my backyard about 3 weeks ago. I was wondering how soon I could apply fertilizer without harming it. I am living in San Antonio, TX

Ive always heard to mow wait at least three days and fertilize

If you are using organic fertilizer, the fertilizer can go down at the same time as the sod. If you are using chemical fertilizer, wait until you mow real grass for the second time before you fertilize.
