Taking a sample to the nearest garden center would be the fastest way. Asking you neighbors might be faster.
What state do you live in?
Does the grass seem to grow straight up out of the ground or is it attached to runners that the blades grow off of?
Are the grass blades narrow (3/8 inch or less) or coarse (wider than that)?
If you can answer those question, we might be able to narrow it down and point you to some websites that discuss various grasses in your area.
