My sod supplier sold me a batch of Empire zoysia complete with crabgrass (there were some other issues, but I do not to elaborate at this point, giving them a chance to make it right) – anyway, I am in southern, coastal GA. Is the anything (short of round-up) that I can use to selectively kill the crabgrass without damaging the newly laid zoysia?

same thing here, except w/ meyers z 52. i was told i could do nothing the first growing season, that i could only look forward to a nice lawn next spring, after this fall’s pre-emergent’s.

Getting sorta warm for herbicides now, but I think there is a product by Weed-B-Gone that is supposed to kill crabgrass that is labeled for your grass. It is not however labeled for St. Augustine so I have not tried it.

When it gets this hot, I just pull the crab grass and go on about my business.
