I purchased a new home in August 2002. The builder place a good amount of sod on my property. I was told that I should not fertilize the sod until 2003. When should I fertilize it and what type of product should I use. I live in South Carolina where the summers are hot.
Also, If I want to plant more sod do I need to have a certain type top soil.

what kind of grass do you have? generally builders would not know anything about lawns.
