Regarding mowing heights on tif dwarf putting greens, is there a relationship between sustained mowing heights and root development? I am currently mowing at .25 and would like to go to .20 or below, but I have been told that lower mowing heights stunt root development. Our root development was set back in summer by a high level of Nematodes, but they have now recovered to about 3". I have USGA greens. (I live in Arkansas where Bermuda Grass goes dormant in late November, and we have about only 45 more days before we will want to raise cutting heights in preparation for fall.)
