I live on Long Island and would like to plant zoysia. Can anyone recommend seeds or plugs and why? Also where can they be purchased?

Zoysia can be purchased all season long at the Stables Garden Center of No. Babylon. 631-667-5122. Look for their weekly ads posted at www.stablesgardens.com Zoysia is one of the featured items for this coming weekend to be posted friday online (8/15). Or email info@stablesgardens.com with any questions.
Rosewood Gardens of Farmingville is known to carry Zoysia. Their number is 631-736-3285
Atlantic Nursery in Freeport also stocks zoysia. If this is more convenient, call them at (516) 378-7357 to check on availability.
