I read in an Univ of FL publication that sedge in St Aug is indicative of declining St Aug which is (could be?) a result of parasitic nematodes (PN). For clarification, I have a few questions: is the presence of sedge due to thin St Aug that is caused by the presence of PN? -or- do PN directly contribute to the flourishing of sedge? This is particularly important to me since I have what I consider a lot of sedge in my St Aug. Has been a long term condition. I applied Image recently and plan to second app approx 6 weeks after the initial app; will that plan eliminate the sedge (mostly global and yellow; not purple). I understand moist soil conditions adversely help sedge. Will aerating often help relieve what moist soil conditions I may have contributing to the sedge? Thanks for your cosnideration and replies!
