I put down some bermuda sod about three days ago in the front yard. I started watering it right after I put it down. It gets watered in the morning..and in the evening. Now the grass is all brown. It it dead? I’m trying to figure it out. Oh…I’m in the Atlanta, GA area. Thanks.

Bermuda lawns require good drainage. Be cafeful not to over water. Also remember Bermuda does not do well in shaded areas.

I am no authority on Bermudagrass, but I suspect you’ll be OK. I’ve seen Bermuda sod put down in 100 degree weather, over construction debris, without any soil preparation and without irrigation other than what fell from the sky…..and it survived. It didn’t look good, but it came through despite the severe abuse!

check out supersod in ATL. you pay around 115 delivered per pallet for T 419 bermuda. There may be cheaper sources but supersod has quality stuff.

I live about 20 mins north of Atlanta and I just got a pallet of sod last week from a company in Sugar Hill called SK Turf. They are in the yellow pages. They charged me 80.00. You might have to pay a little more for delivery. It was good quality bermuda sod.
