HELP!!!! MY BEAUTIFUL BERMUDA YARD IS BEING INFESTED WITH ST. AUGUSTINE FROM MY NEIGHBORS YARD. HOW DO I KILL IT W/O HARMING MY BERMUDA???????

I have the reverse problem: My neighbor’s bermuda is very successfully advancing on my well-maintained St Augustine. I think there are some broadleaf weed killers that will damage St Augustine…so you could try one of those. Have you heard of anything that will kill bermuda and not St Augustine?

I have the same problem as Mark. I’ve also has a patch of Bermuda come up in the middle of my St. Augustine. (How, I have no idea, I just want to get rid of it.) Short of getting a sod cutter and cutting it out, replacine with sod, what other options do I have?

Thanks in advance.

I just put Scott’s Turfbuilder Plus 2 on my St. Augustine by mistake. Scott’s states it is good for Bermuda and will kill St. Augustine. Luckily I have ~25% Bermuda in with my St. Augustine.

Did the Scotts turfbuilder 2 help kill the St. Augustine. As Clint above, my bermuda is being infested with St. Augustine…

MSMA will kill ST. Augustine and not harm Bermuda. The rate for a backpack sprayer is 4oz to 4gallons. Spot spray the st augustine. Check will Lesco , Co-op. I buy all my chemicals and fertilizer from Prosourceone.com. Dont mess with the big retail outlets like home depot or lowes unless you got lots of money and time. Go to the pros and buy from the pros, its a lot cheaper and productive.
